The Essential Project Mayhem

Project Mayhem sells itself on its individuality. Every character in Project Mayhem is (and should be) easily recognizeable. Each character has a distinct playing and fighting style. Every weapon serves a special purpose.

The Big Features

  • Individual characters, each with specific strengths and weaknesses. Choose the best character for your style of play. More information regarding characters can be found here.
  • New weapons. Each weapon has a special use, including character-specific weapons. More information about weapons will be forthcoming.
  • Interesting special effects, such as a semi-invisible (cloaked) Cyborg Ninja, and the Low Yield Tactical Nuke.
  • Semi-persistent powerups one can pick up. The powerups provide the following effects:

    Doubles the amount of damage dealt until death.
    Halves the amount of damage dealt until death.
    Increases speed exponentially. Note that Spawn's Demon Chains will not work with the Red Powerup.
    Regenerate Health and Armor quickly
  • Third Person Perspective. Similar to American McGee's Alice, all action is done in a third-person format. Worry not, aiming is rather easy. All ranged weapons have crosshairs to indicate where one is aiming.
  • Taunts. Each character has 4 individual vocal taunts that can be used while attacking a foe. Be warned, taunting can give away your position to other players.
